Wills Woodland
We started with a blank canvas. Five deep holes were dug by Cam and John and back filled with compost and some fertilizer. The turf was removed for the tunnel and compost added.
These were split into groups and woven before being joined in an arch either to their neighbour or to the central pillar
The wavy tunnel was planted on the second day and the sides woven in a lattice effect using Calodendron.
We then planted approx. 30 rods into each hole using two different varieties, hybrid 3 and Calodendron.
Two of the sides had a lattice weave added to create a cosy den like feel without feeling two enclosed once in full leaf.
The central pillar was woven with the lattice weave to give it some strength and maintain the height.
